Oklahoma City's three urban reservoirs store the City's ample water supply which reaches your home as fresh, pure drinking water at some of the lowest rates in the region. The lakes also provide many water recreation activities. Oklahoma City manages the reservoirs to maximize recreational activities while protecting the water supply.

Fishing and boating are available at all three reservoirs. Water skiing and jetskiing are enjoyed at Lake Draper, which is our largest lake. State fishing license and City fishing permit required unless exempt. Boating permit also required.

A 7-mile stretch of the North Canadian River has been transformed into a series of river lakes bordered by landscaped areas, trails and recreational facilities and known as The Oklahoma River.

Dams at Eastern, Western and May Avenues raise the level of the river. Locks at Western and May Avenues will allow boats to navigate the entire 7 mile length of the river project.

Trails running the length of the Oklahoma River on the north and south banks are part of the OKC Trails network and are open for runners, walkers, skaters and bikers.
