Opening Night
Start the year off right with Opening Night. Celebrate New Year's with music, art and more. Oklahoma City has been celebrating Opening Night since 1987. This is an event for all ages, and takes place at various spots around town.

Festival of the Arts
The Festival of the Arts has been going on since 1967. It is a celebration of performing, visual and culinary arts. There are also fun children's activities. There are multiple stages and exhibits as part of The Festival of the Arts, as well as an International Food Row.

OKC Auto Show
The OKC Auto Show takes place at the state fairgrounds each spring. The four-day show has new car displays, a classic car show and activities for the children. There is also plenty of shopping opportunities available.

SoundBites
SoundBites is a spring concert series. These midweek, afternoon concerts are located at the Bank of Oklahoma Plaza. The Red Earth Festival is a three-day celebration located in downtown Oklahoma City. Over 1200 Native American dancers and artists gather to display visual and performance art. The festival kicks off with an impressive Grand Parade.

DeadCENTER Film Festival
The DeadCENTER Film Festival, which has run every year since 2001, was named one of the 20 coolest film festivals by Movie Maker Magazine. The name is a play on the fact that the festival is located in the center of the United States. The five-day festival features international films as well as smaller, independent productions.

Septemberfest!
Septemberfest! is a fun event for history buffs. With crafts, storytelling, historical reenactments and music, Septemberfest! is entertaining and educational. Attending this event also grants you free admission to the Oklahoma History Center.

ReggaeFest
If your a fan of good music, you're sure to enjoy ReggaeFest. Two days of continuous live music, good food and free admission make this a can't-miss music festival. Another fun choice is the Bricktown Blues and BBQ Festival. Some of the biggest local names in blues music combine with famous Oklahoma City BBQ for a two day festival that is fun for all ages.

Downtown in December
End the year in Oklahoma City with Downtown in December. This celebration runs for 40 days with a variety of activities and entertainment options. Snow tubing, outdoor ice skating, a 5K, a visiting Santa (on a Segway!) and water taxi rides are just some of the fun activities at Downtown in December.
