Dining in Downtown Oklahoma City

The Bricktown District
Mantel Wine Bar & Bistro comes highly recommended and offers an alluring variety of French, Italian and Southwest dishes. The restaurant includes traditional favorites like a Black Angus Top Sirloin steak but also offers intriguing dishes such as Wasabi Pea Encrusted Ahi Tuna. An extensive wines list is offered both by the bottle and by the glass. Reservations are recommended.

Bricktown Brewery is much more low key with delicious burgers, sandwiches, barbecue and deserts in giant portions for an excellent price. A variety of handcrafted beers are offered as well as an interesting selection of beer from around the United States. Rooms upstairs allow people of all ages to participate in pool, darts and arcade games.

Among the numerous Italian restaurants Red Prime Steak is an excellent dining experience in a delightfully modern setting in the Historical Buick building emphasized by low red lighting. Prime cuts of midwestern beef, Kobe beef and buffalo are all offered with a variety of rubs and sauces. It is a little of the pricier side but perfect for a night out.

Johnny's Lunch Box has spectacular food for a spectacular prince in this cafeteria-style restaurant. Pair a salad or a sandwich with a slice of homemade pie baked fresh daily, and enjoy the extensive variety of pie flavors. The New York style Corned Beef sandwich on fresh rye bread is a local favorite.

A historical Farmers market offers everything and anything, as long as it isn't modern. Items such as antiques, collectables, jewelry, candles, gifts, fresh produce, furniture and vintage clothing can all be found in a single area.
